The Department of Pediatric Neurology at Northwell Health System is seeking General PediatricNeurologists to join our academic multi-disciplinary team at Staten Island University Hospital. The ideal candidate should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child Neurology. Fellowship training or interest in Pediatric Epilepsy encouraged but not required.
Located close to Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey, Staten Island University Hospital provides comprehensive Pediatric care. We focus on a multidisciplinary approach and work closely with a comprehensive Subspecialty Pediatric practice. We can easily discuss and share cases with experts in every subspecialty. The Pediatric ward has 2o bed capacity in addition to 4 bed PICU. There is also an 11 bed NICU expected to expand as the new Women and Children’s Center is currently completing its build. Our Emergency Department is staffed with trained Physicians in a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room.
The Department of Pediatric Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past 10 years, and we continue to adjust our services to meet the demands of our surrounding community. We have expanded our Epilepsy care and have 5 bed EMU. Inclusion within the Northwell Neurology service line offers the opportunity to connect with a large group of adult and pediatric neurologists with shared world class grand rounds and conferences. There is tremendous opportunity for continued growth and further specialization of care within Pediatric Neurology.
