Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care. Assists the CFO in development of annual department capital and operating budgets and supports department directors in understanding the financial implications of the monthly department operating reports. Continuously seeks ways and methods to improve progress and outcomes. Makes timely and sound decisions based on logical presumptions which reflect sound financial judgment and an understanding of short- and long-term consequences when making decisions. Administers established financial policies and procedures relating to general accounting functions. Provides training and sets goals for employees; gives timely feedback and helpful coaching. Performs employee evaluations on time. Assists the CFO in overseeing the planning, control and effective utilization of the financial resources of the hospital. Participae in a minimum of two (2) community events annually

Bachelor?s degree  Required 

CPA -Preferred
