JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Patient Account Analystin our Revenue Management teamlocated in Durham, NC.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in developing process improvements in the Medical Record Request Work Flow
Research the medical record requests in a timely manner and review requests for accuracy and completeness
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with the various PRMO departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with documentation
Perform quality assurance checks on outgoing documentation.
Prepare ad-hoc reports based on requests from the Revenue Manager, Faculty and Administration.
Produce meaningful reports to inform and track active denials and avoidable adjustments.
Review and analyze various Key Performance Indicators for the department
Prepare programmatic service-specific financial analysis and forecasts.
Independently perform complex and specialized assignments, as well as collaborate with team to meet group shared targets for value-added analytical reports.
Review analyses for accuracy, fluency, and reasonableness; validate and assess assumptions.
Act as liaison with revenue cycle staff and business unit financial staff to ensure highest possible quality product.
Must be a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with excellent written communication skills, dedicated to support of physician enterprise.
Assist in the development, implementation and management of financial systems and multiple tools used for analysis and reporting.
Plan and implement most efficient methods for data retrieval, organization of data for reports, and analysis of results to root cause.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, finance or a related field is required
Minimum of four years of applicable experience.
Previous experience successfully managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders with a consistent track record of delivering on time, or high quality results preferred.
A Master's degree in a related field can substitute two years of experience on a 1:1 basis.
Data analysis and reporting Billing/Collections Insurance Claims Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint) Good communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.
