JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Services Service Line Coordinator is accountable for developing, implementing, and administering a coordinated supply help system that operates and meets the needs of the facility specialty area. Serves as departmental liaison for SCS with key departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Builds and maintains par level systems for procedure-specific departments within the hospital. Confirms accurate receiving of products with a focus on specific departments, verifies hospital deliveries and delivers to appropriate department.
Provides resource help for expense reduction opportunities. Documents monthly supply cost savings and inventory reductions.
Maintains records such as dates of requisitions, delivery verifications, invoice price confirmation, back-orders, implant pricing. Ensures accurate tracking of supply data such as back-orders, manufacturer numbers, expiration dates, product recalls, lot numbers, etc. as needed.
Processes department-specific supply and/or implant requisitions, confirms accuracy of requisitions, monitors delivery date expectations, works with department staff to ensure implant information accuracy.
Helps in inventory maintenance with a focus on inventory reduction while maintaining adequate department-specific supply levels for stores-based supplies and special-order supplies/implant.
Performs constant review of expiration dates and the processes of removal, replacement, and documentation as directed by department leadership and SCS Director.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
2 years of college education preferred.
Basic communication skills.
Experience in related job.
