The pediatric radiology section is a growing dynamic, energetic team offering varying levels of experience, areas of expertise, and all-around enthusiasm for new and innovative pediatric imaging. In concert with wonderful clinical teams and engaged technologists, the section provides high quality imaging for the children of Connecticut.
The section is comprised of five radiologists and is well supported by fellowship-trained sub-specialists in musculoskeletal, neuro and interventional radiology. The section produces 80,000 radiology reports annually and conducts 7,173 MRI exams and 3649 CT exams per year.
The joining faculty will have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement, outcomes and safety, and lead institution-wide improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Section Chief and associate faculty.
Pediatric radiologists are offered a unique opportunity to work with learners and train the future of the field through the group’s partnership with three residency programs in Hartford.
The starting, guaranteed annual salary range is between $550,000 to $600,000, plus productivity incentives. The group offers a one-year partnership (no buy-in) and an aggressive sign-on incentive. Partners average 9 weeks of PTO annually, with flexibility to take more time as needed for conference days.
The imaging resources at Jefferson Radiology and Connecticut Children’s are robust and include: the state’s first orthopedic EOS imaging, 3T MRI Siemens Vida, 1.5 Siemens Vida MRI, Contrast Ultrasound, 640 slice Canon Aquillion Genesis, and a Hybrid Interventional Operating Room.
Connecticut Children’s (CCMC) is the only stand-alone children’s hospital between Boston and New York, providing Level 1 trauma care to a tri-state region. CCMC houses centers of excellence for Gastroenterology. Orthopedics and Urology and is an exclusive partner of Jefferson Radiology, a Rad Partners organization.
Qualified applicants will be currently board eligible, or board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. Fellowship training in pediatric radiology is preferred, but not required. The leadership group is open to on the job training of radiologists in pediatrics in support of achieving a CAQ in pediatric radiology
