The Customer Service Rep/Community Wide Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and performing all scheduling & pre-registration of all Radiology modalities within the hospital.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Describes nature and time requirements for requested appointments to patients and referring physicians
• Schedules appointments according to each modalities requirements/restrictions.
• Pre-registers patients at the time of scheduling. Enters and verifies all patient demographics, insurance, guarantor, ordering physician and reason for examination. Codes all procedures using ICD-10 for proper billing.
• Enters orders accurately and ensures proper paperwork is provided to the patient.
• Verifies patient's identity using two forms of ID in accordance with HIPPA.
• Maintains orders from physician's offices to keep current and organized.
• Logs daily refrigerator temperature for contrast solutions.
• Attends all Radiology departmental meetings unless excused.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service setting Competency in computer and general office skills.

• High school graduate or equivalent required
