Position Summary
The Medical Laboratory Scientist 3 (MLS 3) is responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution. This is a technical position. Typical work situations require performing multiple tests with exacting accuracy and rapid turnaround time. MLS performs manual and automated procedures, operate instruments that are computer interfaced and use networked computer information systems. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills. The MLS may assume some administrative responsibilities and act as a resource for other laboratory personnel as well as for external customers such as physicians, patient care staff and outside organizations and laboratories.

MLS-3 (Specialist):
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biological Science, or Medical Technology with Current Specialist Certification related to specific laboratory discipline preferred with at least 2-years experience and leadership and/or training experience preferred.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $38.50 - $63.63 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
