In Clinical Engineering our mission is to provide a team of empowered professionals providing continued improvement in patient care and equipment planning & support technologies. BJC Healthcares' Clinical Engineering (Clinical Asset Management) team provides?operational support and maintenance management of diagnostic, treatment, and patient support technologies.??Specific service areas include, Medical equipment planned maintenance services, Medical equipment demand and corrective maintenance services, Operational support for functions employing medical technology, Support of Risk Management and EH&S functions, Technology asset management support, acquisition and disposal, Technology maintenance contract management, Technology capital project planning and management.

Role Purpose
Reports to Manager/Supervisor of Procurement, the position prepares, interprets and manages purchases and places orders according procedural guidelines, department expectations, and institutional time frames, and resolves problems between external (vendors) customers and internal customers. Creates, leads, and participates in departmental and cross-functional process improvement projects, including the training of new requisitioners.
Responsibilities
Work dependent upon, or facilitated by, the use of computers and computer software programs.
Handling routine customer service complaints and comments that have only minimal impact on the business, without authority to resolve significant matters
Purchasing, buying, procuring or managing inventory, materials or supplies ? meeting department expectations and timelines.
Providing expert advice to the company or the company?s customers in areas such as accounting, setting or changing prices, selection or termination of contractors/vendors hired for purposes related to business operations, while performing work that strictly follows established manuals, guidelines, policies or procedures.
Entering information into a database, formulating or entering queries into a database or running reports from a database.
