Summary:
The Provider Liaison collaborates with the Admin Director of Provider Relations and Manager Provider Recruitment and Relations to develop and implement strategies to foster and strengthen relationships and support providers in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. The Provider Liaison plans and coordinates physician relations initiatives, activities, and programs, including analysis of overall effectiveness and fiscal management.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the manager provider recruitment and relations to develop and implement strategies to retain physicians and advanced practice professionals in the community and hospital through a variety of high-level, creative and innovative mechanisms; Coordinates social/networking events for the entire medical staff (along with their families as applicable) including service awards banquets, social mixers, and Doctor's Day events; Collaborates with various departments to provide hospital tours to providers and staff to experience various departments / new services of YRMC; Plans and coordinates annual appreciation event for physicians, APP and staff Coordinates provider educational sessions throughout the year for physicians, and APP's.
Leads and facilitates immigration process for employed providers. Acts as a site administrator for Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and AZ Health and Human Services (HHS) programs. Registers and maintains YRMC service sites utilizing online portal. Works in tandem with the immigration attorney and paralegal to obtain all required documentation, YRMC admin counter signatures and ensure timely filing. Maintain master tracking for all providers under the immigration process to include electronic and hard copy records. Compiling, processing and submission of quarterly provider encounter reports to the state. Submits required documentation and support as requested. Responsible for communication and education to providers on the immigration process as necessary. Serves as the department liaison for all provider inquiries and assistance in the immigration process.
Oversees the state loan repayment program for employed providers. Acts as a site administrator for Arizona State Loan Repayment program (AzSLRP). Registers and maintains YRMC service sites for Arizona State Loan Repayment program (including annual renewal or additions).
Approves applications for providers. Submits required documentation and support for the program (Proof of HPSA designation for each site, Sliding Fee Scale Policy, Sliding Fee Scale, SFS signage, quarterly provider encounter reports by location and so on). Responsible for communication and education to providers on the state loan repayment process, annual application cycle and requirements. Serves as the department liaison for all provider inquiries and assistance in the state loan repayment process.
Educates providers, key community employers and ambulatory areas on new services available at the hospital, ambulatory clinics or important changes. Responsible for monthly tracking and data submission of provider changes to Alicare for the YRMC Careline. Produce, update and distribute quarterly Ambulatory Clinic list to key community employers and YRMC teams and community relations. Produce and distribute Physicians Accepting New Patients (Primary Care & Pediatrics) flyer for internal usage and community outreach. Collaborates with provider admin team and community relations in development of provider promotional or educational materials, social media/digital posts for YRMC employee Facebook page.
Co-manages the physician onboarding and orientation process based on individual physician specialties; Directs new physician and APP HR on boarding, electronic health record training (inpatient and outpatient), medical staff orientation including internal leadership connections, additional training and regulatory requirements; Schedules professional photo and video session for new physicians; Coordinates with hospital marketing department in the development of all new physician marketing plans;
Delegates responsibility to support staff and supervises the progress of assigned tasks.
Manages Provider Recruitment and Relations projects and initiatives as assigned.
