Role Purpose
Provides leadership for BJC System Capacity Management. Responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of the system Capacity Management Program across all BJC HSOs. Carries out the BJC Capacity Management strategic plan and ensures strategic objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Oversees data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and analyzing of capacity management data for the purpose of developing and implementing or modifying protocols, policies, and procedures.
Actively engages all BJC HSO leaders, providers and executive teams to develop, execute and improve the capacity management program through change management, principles of process development and performance improvement.
Summarizes and presents analysis of data and information to Capacity management and HSO leadership to demonstrate progress towards strategic objectives.
Monitors and improves the performance of the department including financial outcomes, patient, employee and physician satisfaction, clinical quality and efficiency.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Supports and assists the growth of existing and new workforce management technologies and processes. Maintains comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards, as well as of the changing business environment.
