The role you’ll contribute:
Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. Supports pharmacists and provides distributive pharmacy services. To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care. The Pharmacy Buyer/Pharmacy Technician III performs a wide range of supportive duties to assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication so that patients receive consistent care. Duties include transmitting multiple drug orders, reconciling, and receiving invoices. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining inventory system accuracy, data integrity, local level audit controls and inventory levels to prevent product and/or supply stock-outs. Coordinates pharmaceutical product recalls, all reverse logistics activities and annual inventory processes. Participates in pharmaceutical sales representative activities within the facility and prepares periodic purchasing reports as directed by department management. Works only under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist and does not perform duties that can only be legally performed by a registered Pharmacist.

•Ensures proper storage of medications in Pharmacy Including cold chain custody
•Maintain quarantine area for expired meds to be picked up by reverse distributor
•Organizes and prioritizes work assignments
•Maintain purchasing records and invoices in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations, along with hospital policies and procedures
•Completes all assigned medication area monthly inspections
•Reconcile Daily invoices
•Review and expedite all open orders in a timely basis
•Manage all drug recalls per federal and state regulations
•Maintain accurate general ledger information relative to cost center and expense code •If applicable to the facility, setup and maintenance of 340B Wholesaler accounts for local retail pharmacies that have contractual agreements with the facility
•If applicable to the facility, works with Corporate 340B Manager and analyst consultant to maximize purchasing capabilities
