We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Total Joint Replacement (TJR) surgery to join our dynamic team in Toledo, OH. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, and collaborative relationship-building, aimed at providing exceptional care and expanding our TJR program.
Mercy Health - Toledo market is number 1 in market share for inpatient Orthopedic surgery. We welcome both experienced and junior surgeons to apply. Fellowship training in Hip & Knee arthroplasty required.
Job Summary:
Build a busy ambulatory orthopedic practice that has a large internal referral base with the expectation to expand the program throughout Northwest Ohio.
Practice includes a mixture of primary and revision total joint replacement patients of the hip and knee and some general cases to supplement volume and maintain productivity.
Provide orthopedic call with a minimum of 7 days of call coverage per month at a community-based Mercy Health hospital.
Participate as Orthopedic Clinical Faculty including orthopedic resident clinical and didactic education, multiple multidisciplinary conferences, and grand rounds.

highly functional OP same day discharge (SDD) program (current SDD % averages 70%)
in person TJR class coupled with PAT

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine specialized Physical Therapy team

Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Fellowship training in Hip & Knee Total Joint Replacement required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for teaching and commitment to patient-centered care.
