Why Medical Telemetry?
Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit affords you with ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Our Medical Telemetry unit also offers:
·Resident Physician designated Teaching Unit
·ED door to door admissions
·Highly engaged team
·Supportive management team
·Robust Unit Based Council
·Flexible scheduling
·Emphasis on work/life balance
We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:
·Sepsis
·Chest Pain
·Patients requiring isolation or admission to negative airflow rooms
·Patients requiring skin and wound care- DHFT, PEGs, Wound Vacs
·Diagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
·Nasogastric Insertion and Maintenance
·Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
·Patients requiring cardiac monitoring due to chest pain or arrhythmias
·Patients with GI abnormalities
·Trach care, CBI, IV Therapy

Qualifications
Grad of an Accredited Program
Specialized field of study should be nursing.
A current and valid nursing license.
Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
