Job Summary:
As a member of the VUMC Development team, the Program Manager for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals(r) (CMN Hospitals) and Corporate Relations plays an integral role in supporting the fundraising efforts for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. This position is primarily focused on helping to raise funds for Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, Nashville's Children's Miracle Network hospital.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager, the Program Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Partner with development officers on Monroe Carell's CMN Hospitals team to support the planning, execution and implementation of fundraising campaigns and programs.
- Support the efforts of Corporate Relations development officers to create, implement, and evaluate tailored strategies for corporate involvement and solicitation.
- Coordinate with external vendors to place orders for promotional items, print campaign kit collateral, and secure other items or services needed to support fundraising activities. Maintain inventory of promotional items.
- Coordinate with VUMC Gift and Donor Services to ensure that gifts and quarterly disbursement payments are handled timely and accurately.
- Complete quarterly EZPMR report for the national CMN Hospitals office and assist with additional reporting requirements for CMN Hospitals upon request.
- Maintain and monitor operating budgets for CMN Hospitals team and perform monthly reconciliation of financial activity.
- Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, scheduling meetings, preparing travel approvals, making travel arrangements, submitting expense reports, entering contact reports, and other standard office activities. Ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time.
- Prepare correspondence and mailings, maintain data, and produce reports to support development officers' campaigns, programs, and solicitation activity.
- Develop communications materials to support CMN Hospitals campaigns and programs as well as other corporate fundraising and stewardship initiatives. Work collaboratively with Strategic Communications on the development of select communications deliverables.
- Assist with meeting preparation and follow-up. Assist with producing meeting materials and conduct basic research on corporate prospects as requested.
- Assist development officers with stewardship activities such as site visits, hospital tours, and check presentations.
- Attend events as needed to assist with set-up, registration, silent auctions and/or other logistics.
- Field inquiries from potential new corporate partners and facilitate the processing of applications for third-party corporate fundraising activities.
- Collaborate with and support team members on special projects.
- Build productive and collaborative working relationships with VUMC Development colleagues, partners across the Medical Center and staff at CMN Hospitals national office.
- Maintain knowledge of CMN Hospitals' corporate partners, fundraising programs, financial and reporting processes, and brand guidelines and assets.
- Maintain knowledge of all VUMC Development administration and financial policies.
- Uphold departmental and institutional policies regarding confidential information.
- Maintain the VUMC Credo in all work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) (Required)
- 3 years relevant experience (Required)

This is a full-time position. Position requires some local travel and flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed.
