$10,000 Commitment Bonus Eligible | Paid out in 4 equal installments over 24 months in 6-month increments.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Vascular Technologist/Sonographer to provide patient and provider support by using ultrasound imaging technologies for carotids, AAA, resting and exercise ABI, renal, and upper and lower extremity ultrasound examinations at Duke Vascular Surgery at Brier Creek in the Raleigh, NC location.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates proficiency by performing routine vascular ultrasound examinations, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices.
Ability to thoroughly, and efficiently, evaluate pathology following current guidelines (Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), etc.).
Assist in the reaccreditation process and quality improvement program for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC-Vascular).
Analyze patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
Communicates technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines
Respond to patient questions about procedures and equipment prior to starting the imaging process.
Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording; utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers, digital networking system, off-line analysis systems as indicated.
Attends required staff meetings and ensures ensuring continuing education requirements met to support professional growth and certification.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certification as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
New graduates of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program must obtain ARDMS/CCI credential within one year from graduation date.
Individuals cross-trained in vascular ultrasound or working to fulfill clinical experience to meet pre-requisites for credentialing must obtain certification within two years from the start of training.
