• Corroborates patient?s clinical history, assuring information is documented and available for the Cardiologist.
• Prepares patient for procedure, instructs patient for examination, relieves patient?s anxiety. Verifies informed consent.
• Complies with departmental scheduling guidelines. Is prepared to start shift on time.  Takes rotating shifts and call.
• Performs skills according to accepted standards as listed within the orientation skills checklist.
• Determines proper transducer for examination, follows established protocols, records data as necessary. Transports patients as necessary.
• Performs office procedures accurately in absence of clerical personnel. Prepares reports for data processing.
• Written documentation is accurate, concise, and legible.
• Utilizes AIDET.
