We are seeking a Provider Support Assistant to perform administrative responsibilities in support of one or more physician(s) and/or advanced provider(s).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Duties
Maintain provider calendars, schedule meetings and applicants for interviews
Assist with coordinating event planning of educational trainings
Answer and screen incoming calls
Mail pick up/delivery and deliver faxes
Coordinate travel for out of town conferences
Prepare & submit expense reports & reimbursements. Process charges from corporate card using Concur
Assist with completion of FMLA and/or disability paperwork for faculty/sta? & patients
Maintain professional memberships, and renewal of license/DEA/privileges for faculty & Staff
Enter faculty/APPs assignments in Qgenda/Amion, including edits, changes, switches, and other correspondence
Order stationery & o?ce supplies through Buy@Duke /Staples
Submit Schedule Change Request (SCR) form to close clinics
Hold time on clinic schedules when clinics are closed due to a provider emergency after approval from leadership
Reschedule patients due to provider failing to meet PDC 45 day Planned Absence policy
Prepare & send referrals, including patient records to outside facilities, Request outside facility imaging - through Powershare.
Make sure changes are reflected in MaestroCare within 1-2 weeks and follow up if changes are not made
Print and send all records; request pathology to be sent if necessary
FedEx a CD of scans performed at Duke to outside facilities
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
One-year experience of clerical or general office support required.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
