The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center seeks a licensed clinical psychologist to join our residency core faculty in beautiful Hershey, PA. Our 3-year, ACGME-accredited program admits 8 residents per year and provides a collaborative learning environment for residents and faculty. Our Family and Community Medicine Department provides quality primary care that is holistic, compassionate, and coordinated across our health system. We provide a safe, cost-effective environment that is patient-centered for the entire community. Non-tenure with academic rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) commensurate with experience.
Position Information ? 1.0 FTE Exciting dual role, serving as Residency Core Faculty and licensed clinical psychologist in the oldest academic department of family and community medicine in the United States. Joint academic appointment with the Departments of Family and Community Medicine and Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Clinical opportunities include both outpatient and inpatient experiences.
Residency Core Faculty - 0.6 FTE
Development and administration of the family medicine residency behavioral health curriculum
Provision and facilitation of resident behavioral health didactics and seminars, including scheduling guest speakers
Direct observation and feedback of resident-patient encounters
Resident recruitment, retention, and mentorship/coaching
Assist Program Director and Associate Program Directors in the successful operation and continuous improvement of the Family Medicine Residency Program
Collaborate on resident research and quality improvement projects, with excellent opportunities for publishing and conference presentations
Participation (teaching and potential preceptorship) in the Hershey Medical Center?s, APA-approved, Doctoral Psychology Internship Training Program
Participation (teaching) in postdoctoral training programs
Participation in the community of psychologists at Penn State Health with psychologists from various academic departments
Clinic - 0.3 FTE
2 sessions/week of outpatient consulting and behavioral health for your own patient panel
1 session/week consulting on the FCM inpatient service
Department Administration ? 0.1 FTE
Personal research, publications, and other scholarly activities

WHAT WE?RE SEEKING:
PhD or PsyD (doctoral degree) in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with formal education, supervised training, and experience in behavioral health or health psychology from an APA- accredited institution
Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Pennsylvania as a psychologist
Eligible for Board Certification as a psychologist (Clinical or Health Psychology) under the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
Advanced individual and group counseling skills required
Strong knowledge of medical education; social determinants of health; wellness; and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging preferred
Experience working with Family Medicine residents preferred
