The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Operator Services Department provides essential information and service to all callers, patients, staff and outside health facilities. This is a FT position that works onsite M-F 8a-4:30p. This position may also require an altered schedule to work the hours of 330p-12a for training purposes along with overnight training that works from 11:30p-8a.
Ideal candidates should have previous training and/or leadership experience.

The Barnes Jewish Hospital Operator Services department consists of professional friendly Customer Service Personnel, Operators, Leads, Coordinator and Supervisor.¿ It is the role of the Operator Service department to provide professional, Courteous, fast and friendly customer service. It is our role to service the patient, family and entire BJH community by ensuring they are able to reach, their family, friends and staff members.¿ The Operator Services department serves as the connection between the patient, family and staff for general information as well as emergent information/situations.

Role Purpose
Responsible for maintaining an accurate, user friendly database and collecting current, essential information to serve as resource material
Responsibilities
- Oversees and monitors daily operations of the call center while maintaining adequate phone coverage daily.
- Trains new and current staff on operator processes and changes which will require working 2nd and 3rd shifts when applicable for all new hire training schedules.
- Ensures call volumes and service level goals are met.
- Responsible for continued education to existing staff.
- Conduct random call quality audits while the call is active.
