The role you’ll contribute:
Under the direction of the SPD/Case cart manager the Instrument Coordinator is responsible for managing the instrument inventory, instrument tracking system and coordinating instrument and set changes with the service coordinators. Managing the instrument inventory includes ordering instruments, organizing the inventory and storage areas, coordinating instrument repair and maintenance, and understanding the functionality of the instrument tracking system and plan in servicing with the SPD educator as needed. Managing the instrument tracking system includes instrument count sheet maintenance and understanding the functionality and optimization of the instrument tracking system. The instrument coordinator is also responsible for collaborating with the service coordinators for tray changes, onboarding new surgeons and new tray creation. The Instrument Coordinator adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. All duties are performed in accordance with established departmental and Hospital policies and procedures. This position actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of Advent Health

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·HS diploma or equivalent ·3-5 years as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician ·Completed Sterile processing core curriculum ·Certification as instrument technician ·Sterile for Processing & Distribution
