SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Department Director and the Senior Occupational Therapist, provides quality occupational therapy services to patients through evaluation and administration of treatment to restore function and prevent disabilities. Occupational Therapist to work in an outpatient clinical setting. Skills in upper extremity (shoulder, elbow and hand) therapy are essential to this role in both the orthopedic and neurological skill sets. In addition, a candidate with the ability to treat pelvic floor patients would be beneficial to the needs of this clinic as we have very busy pelvic floor therapy practice. Clinicians can spend 1:1 time with their patients with treatments lasting 45-60 minutes. Evaluations are 60 minutes in length unless there is a specialty area, such as pelvic or lymphedema, where we schedule 90 minutes. Our emphasis is on quality care with a single patient to therapist system. In addition to the outpatient focus, this clinician will be cross-trained for limited support (3 days of the year) to support acute patients for holidays and holiday weekends in the inpatient setting. This clinician can opt to work additional days/ times, but we minimize this requirement to assure we have adequate support for our outpatient population. Our OT team includes certified hand therapists, certified lymphedema therapists, LSVT Parkinson's therapists and advanced trained pelvic floor therapists to support and mentor new staff to join our team and gain confidence in evaluations and treatments of the patients we serve.
