The Role:
Our Harrogate, UK site is currently recruiting for a Instrument Technician to join the Biopharmaceutical Chemistry Manufacturing Controls (BiopharmCMC) division on a 12 month fixed-term contract, where there may be opportunity for this to turn into a permanent role.
The role will be based on-site and will be focused on providing support to the GMP Equipment Management group.
You will join a team of 9 people in Harrogate but will be part of a UK team of 13, where excellent training and on-boarding will be given to you. This means that applicants with no direct experience of this work environment will be considered provided they have acquired skills that are considered transferable to a regulated environment.
Job Responsibilities
Adhere to and/or complete all equipment documentation. This includes but is not limited to standard operating procedures, work instructions, equipment test protocols, etc.
Coordinate with in-house or vendor maintenance and qualification activities:
Work with Operations to determine appropriate timeframe for maintenance.
Schedule maintenance with Facilities Management (FM)
Escort vendors during maintenance and qualification activities
Where required arrange for the installation and set-up of new equipment.
Time management and understanding of prioritisation of tasks a key requirement for this role.
Education:
Educated to a minimum of A-level (or a similar educational standard)
1 - 2 years experience in a technical role or regulatory environment required.
Good computing skills essential, owing to the nature of the role.
