The role you’ll contribute:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project plans associated with the management of the I.H.S. Clinical Support Department. Collaborates with inter-disciplinary teams on process improvement and project management activities. Prepares and reports on research and documentation related to ongoing projects, timetables, and statuses. Represents the I.H.S. Clinical Support Department as appropriate in partnership with internal and external business units, workgroups, or committees. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value that you bring to the team:
·Supports the executive director and leaders of the I.H.S. Clinical Support Department with coordination of strategic initiatives.
·Provides project management support to multidisciplinary and often interdepartmental teams focusing on high-priority quality and safety initiatives, to include assisting in training classes and change management strategies.
·Communicates regularly with team stakeholders and executive sponsors about team progress toward goal achievement, critical factors and obstacles.
·Facilitates project management and logistics such as project timelines, agenda development, production and distribution of meeting minutes and documents and preparation of reports on project status and activities to various audiences.
·Develops and maintains project plans in coordination with other Performance Improvement staff that are practical and of appropriate scope, and includes identification of stakeholders, financial metrics, assessment of resource needs, and implementation timelines.
·Works with management and other consultants in the Quality Division to determine resource/staffing needs for particular project and is accountable for managing the resources and deliverables for specific projects.
·Identifies and proposes potential projects that are aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Bachelor’s degree in business discipline, engineering or healthcare-related field
·One year of experience facilitating improvement projects, utilizing knowledge of performance improvement tools and techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Preferred Qualifications:
·Master’s degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MHA, or MPH)
·One - three years of healthcare project management experience
·Certification in a quality improvement methodology/toolset such as Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, etc.
·Project management certification such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
