Madison VA Medical Center is responsible for community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) at Janesville, Baraboo, Beaver Dam, WI, and Rockford and Freeport, IL and a primary care annex at Madison West Clinic, and is one of eight facilities that comprise Veterans Integrated Services Network 12 (VISN12) which is administratively headquartered at Hines, IL, and includes facilities in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan. PRPs must be fully licensed physicians (i.e., not a training license) and may only be appointed on an intermittent or fee-basis. PRPs are not considered independent practitioners and will not be privileged; rather, they are to have a "scope of practice" that allows them to perform certain restricted duties under supervision. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital located in Madison, WI is searching for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist to serve on the staff of a very active academic cardiology section with clinical strengths in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure/transplant and imaging. Applicants with demonstrated success in clinical research are preferred. Skills in the performance, supervision and interpretation of cardiac imaging studies, including nuclear cardiology, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography are highly desired.
