JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Medical Assistant, Certified to perform a variety of routine duties in an ambulatory clinic to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform intake with patients to include vital signs, visit information, and other clinical information as indicated
Assist providers with procedures such as IUD insertion, implantable insertion, biopsies, colposcopies, LEEP procedures, Endosee, and ultrasound examination. Set up instruments and equipment for specific procedures; hand instruments, supplies and equipment to examining provider.
Set up and clean examination room. Chaperone gynecologic exams, procedures, and ultrasound examinations.
Perform tasks such as set up for clinical procedures, high level disinfection & sterilization or other miscellaneous appropriate tasks within scope of practice
Escort patients to exam rooms, schedule patient appointments and prepare related records
Maintain work area in clean an orderly condition.
Maintain inventory of supplies in clinic
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
High school or GED graduation required.
Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required. Please specify on resume which certification you have, certification number, and expiration date.
