SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Medical Group ? Family Practice Colonial Park is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join their team! This office is situated off Colonial Road in Harrisburg and houses internal medicine, family practice, and a Walk-in lab. The Family Practice Colonial Park office sees an average of 100 patients a day and operates thoroughly on a weekday schedule.
The hired Medical Assistant will be expected to room patients, take vitals, medication reconciliation, and assist with in-house procedures as needed. The MA will also be expected to administer injections and oversee the e-message pool to assist with patient inquiries.
The ideal MA for this office will be flexible as a team player to ensure all synchronous and asynchronous work is completed in the office. Have an interest in training and learning more about family and internal medicine ? Family Practice Colonial Park is the office for you!
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
Previous outpatient experience preferred.
