The role you’ll contribute:
The operations technician position is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems at the corporate campus. Equipment may include, but is not limited to, boilers, water chillers, pumps, air compressors, fire suppression systems, emergency generators, air conditioning and refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure for the provision of utilities necessary for campus operations. This position is responsible for the management of the various subcontractors assigned to conduct maintenance repairs at any corporate services facility. This position requires heavy lifting and general knowledge of maintenance principles. Character traits include strong work ethic, problem solver, trainability, communicative, team player all with a positive “can do” attitude.

·Individual responds promptly to all calls for emergency repairs.Takes care of any duty assignments that may arise to an emergency.Responds to any hazards and / or emergency situations as the situation requires; maintains universal precautions.
·Serves as a primary point of contact for all maintenance related contractors.
·Provides analysis and coordination of vendors, contractors, and other resources for root cause analysis of repeat failures.
·Provides recommendations, strategies, and priorities to address repeat failures.
·Works closely with the lead technician and the manager on high level repairs and issues.
·Maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance, as specified by manufacturers, on facility equipment and systems including electrical, electronic, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
·Performs simple, as well as complex repairs of buildings, equipment and systems, as appropriate.Oversees workers from outside vendors who perform work on equipment and systems.
·Maintains appropriate documentation and maintenance records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and codes.
·Handles work orders as assigned by lead technician and manager in a timely manner and with accuracy.
·Tracks applicable inventory and initiates material requisitions to the facilities manager.
·Performs all duties as required (time keeping, prioritization, CMMS administration, scheduling, etc.)
·Individuals must be able to lift heavy items as this position requires involvement with meeting room setups and furniture reconfigurations.
·Demonstrates ability to read, review, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other related documentation.
·Must be available to work on-call and overtime as needed.
·Is knowledgeable regarding emergency preparedness and security procedures.
·Responds to an emergency immediately with calm demeanor and calls authorities as necessary
·Assists Construction team with construction activities which support a safe and healthy work environment.
·Assists other team members as required.
·Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
·Knowledge and ability to learn the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel
·Knowledge of building maintenance.
·Basic understanding of what CMMS is and how it works
·Able to problem solve and trouble-shoot.
·Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·Advanced maintenance knowledge.
·Experience with maintaining maintenance technical systems
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Position requires a level of knowledge equivalent to what would normally be achieved through a high school diploma.
·5 years maintenance experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·8 years maintenance experience
·Trade or Technical school degree
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
·Trade or Technical school certification
