Summary:

Cardiac Sonographer based in Kansas City, KS and can travel to other cities in Kansas, Iowa and Arkansas.  Seeking a dedicated, detail oriented, organized individual who is comfortable performing echocardiography, is comfortable operating in different clinical environments, and can adapt to the procedures as needed.

Job Description:

• Prepare exam room.
• Explain method of examination and position patient.
• Assess the patient's status and needs, complete appropriate diagnostic techniques/tests to ascertain patient's on-going condition and perform the necessary interventions.
• Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered.
• Ensure quality images.
• Coordinate the preparation of images/exams and needed documentation for physician partners.
• Monitor equipment reliability and safety.
• Report issues and/or repairs or service due.
• Actively participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow.
• Represent Boone Heart Institute at our partner clinics with a professional, pleasant demeanor and a can-do attitude to support clinic staff as they care for their patient population.

 Location:

• Kansas City, KS: Relocate before starting work (Required)
• Will travel to cities in Kansas, Iowa, and Arkansas

Job Type: Part-time, 8-hour shift, 24-32 hours per week

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Associate's degree, preferred
• Cardiac Sonographer credentials (ARDMS, CCI or equivalent)
• Vascular registry, preferred
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required
• Minimum one (1) year of ultrasound experience

 Education:

• High school or equivalent

Experience:

• Cardiac Ultrasound: 1 year

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification
