Summary:Oversees the day-to-day operations of pharmacy, ensuring efficient medication dispensing, staff management, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care by supervising pharmacy technicians, managing inventory, and optimizing workflow within the pharmacy department. Perform all duties involving the procurement and inventory control of medications and supplies in the hospital. Perform all duties involving medication billing.

Current Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certified Board
Current State Pharmacy Technician License

·Interview candidates for Pharmacy Technician positions
·Scheduling of technicians and managing adequate coverage
·Supervise all monthly elimination of out-of-date drugs hospital wide
·POC for the Infusion Clinic. Build, procure and reconcile costly infusions vs reimbursement, etc.
·Leading and managing technicians, assigning tasks, providing training and evaluating performance & address any concerns
·Ensuring adherence to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, including medication storage, handling, and documentation.
·Implementing and monitoring quality control measures to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing.
·Tracking pharmacy expenses, assisting the director in budget adherence, and identifying cost savings opportunities.
·Managing staff competencies with USP 797
·Stays updated on rules and regulations related to compliance
·Marion clinic monthly out of date audit
·Procuring all meds & supplies
·Coordinating with INMAR on retrieval of expired pharmaceuticals
·Manage new vendors and billing inquiries
·Manage all documentation records
