SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Directly manage the implementation, stabilization, and support of Epic and/or other healthcare applications and teams. Ensure system functionality is designed and delivered to support clinical, business, and information needs. Engage key clinical, financial services and operational stakeholders to align Information Technology resources to support the organization's goals and objectives. Partner with stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain software solutions to support optimal care delivery and healthcare operations. Provide information technology operational leadership and support for business and clinical functions.?Work closely with application managers, IS teams, and operational teams to identify changes required in the current workflow, system design, build, and long-term support. Manage the selection, development, and coaching of team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Supervision: Directly lead a team of analysts during implementations and ongoing support under the direct supervision of systems application director.
System Maintenance: Oversee system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patch installations, firewall requests, vulnerabilities, cyber exceptions, server certificates, and system backups, to ensure efficient and secure system operations. Ensure that IS-defined change control processes are followed. Collaborate with the Environment and Release Manager/Integration Architect to develop a strategy for implementing regular upgrades and maintenance of Epic systems and/or other integrated and interfaced applications.
Cyber Risk Assessments: Oversee the completion of cyber risk assessments, documents, and network diagrams (initial and renewals) for supported applications.
Vendor Relationship: Lead vendor relationships to resolve vendor product issues, evaluate new functionality, and contract review. Participate in vendor user groups and online listservs, and review vendor updates to optimize the capabilities of assigned applications.
Leadership Collaboration: Consult with the other IS leadership and senior operational leadership to drive optimization and performance of healthcare technology systems.
Technical Leadership: Collaborate to provide technical leadership for the implementation and support of software applications, enhancements, and modifications for legacy systems and in scoping, implementation planning, and conversion to new systems.
Project Delivery: Oversee the implementation of new workflow and/or application systems within the enterprise and ensure the delivery of solutions that enable business value and align to strategic initiatives.
Resource Management: Prioritize and manage portfolio of work. Collaborate with the application teams to identify resources, prioritize projects, and resolve risks and issues.
Strategic Planning: Prepare and recommend short-term and long-term goals and objectives that align with the enterprise strategic vision.
On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call support for one or more applications, addressing incidents that arise outside of business hours.
Staff Supervisory
Human Relations: Responsible for candidate selection process, hiring onboarding, and offboarding of team members. Coach: Observe and coach work behaviors and performance deficiencies of assigned staff for corrective actions and document as required following HR policy.
Team Development: Ensure cooperative and respectful work relationship of assigned staff following and embracing the organizational RITE values.
Evaluation: Responsible for the evaluation of employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor?s Degree with 6 years experience or 10 years of IT and/or education experience required in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 3 years? experience in a lead or supervisory role or leading Health System initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Experience leading a team that supports VNA, PACS, voice recognition, and post-processing applications used in Radiology, Cardiology, and other image producing clinical areas.
