SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the design and creation of analytics solutions for end users and third parties who require Epic data. This role requires knowledge of operational system usage and a deep understanding of system build, end user workflows, and patterns of use. This role requires technical skills to design and write reports and operational knowledge to understand what report consumers need to see.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field or minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
4-6 years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic EMR or other EMR applications, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Experience within a healthcare-related environment managing SQL databases.
Evidence of proficiency in Crystal Reports and Visual Basic and .NET programming.
Evidence of familiarity with clinical and financial systems integration utilizing industry standard tools.
Working knowledge of the process and delivery of patient care services in an acute care facility.
Experience with modern BI tools such as Power BI, QLIK, Tableau or SAP Business Objects
Experience with Microsoft suite of database related tools: Azure, Visual Studio, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
Epic certification preferred. If not certified, must complete Epic certification as assigned in related application within 6 weeks after last training class.
