VA Northern California Health Care System is looking for an enthusiastic candidate interested in a role as a physician in our Geriatrics PACT clinic located at our clinic in Martinez, CA

The Staff Geriatrician will provide both primary and specialty care to older veterans, most commonly with multiple chronic conditions including dementia, in ambulatory care as well as long-term care facilities. The physician takes responsibility for providing geriatric care to eligible Veterans in the Geriatrics outpatient clinics including the primary care geriatrics clinic and the consultation clinic, through face-to-face & telehealth clinics, and E-consults. This is also a teaching role with supervising fellows, residents, medical students, and other allied health trainees in clinical settings.
Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen, 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state and 3) board certification in Geriatrics or equivalent, 4) a minimum 2 year’s clinical experience, 5) experience in Geriatrics is desirable 6) best qualified will have Geriatric board eligibility or certification.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Possible one day telework can be granted depending on the provider availability.
Salary $230,000-$316,000 per year.

Additional Requirement:
Geriatric medicine expert with knowledge and practice experience in geriatric medicine, dementia care, mental health illness management, rehabilitation, transitions of care, and healthcare systems navigation. (2) years' experience as a geriatrician after completing geriatric medicine fellowship.
