Location: Travel to Lampasas, Cove, Killeen, and Harker Heights.

The role you’ll contribute:
Certified Medical Assistant to work in a Medical Clinic with one or more physicians. Tenacious Medical Assistant able to keep patient records confidential and up to date. Works closely with physicians to treat patients and ensure patients are provided quality patient care. Flexible to work in other areas of the physician group as needed and can work with multiple host systems. Works under supervision of Office Manager and assists Physician with clinic needs.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean and fully supplied.
Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, scheduling appointments, entering provider orders and completing job, school, sports, and FAA physical forms.
Take and record patient height, weight, body mass index, and blood pressure for every visit and temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation as indicated. Obtain pertinent patient history information.
Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians’ instructions to patients.
Administer injections and immunizations.
Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.

Responds professionally and effectively to questions from external sources (patients & health plan reps), & internal sources (providers & clinic staff)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
High School Grad or Equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant certification
