The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy invites nominations and applications for one full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in in San Antonio, TX, with an 11-month academic appointment beginning in fall 2025.

Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor, depending on qualifications. The candidate will be expected to develop a clinical practice in Internal Medicine. 

The position requires teaching and service to the Department/College, the profession, and the public. The position provides opportunities for an individual with a strong commitment to an academic career emphasizing innovative educational, service, and scholarly activities. Scholarly activity is required; publication and presentation activities are expected. The academic responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, education for healthcare providers, students and residents. This faculty member will teach on the Kingsville and College Station campuses and provide patient-care services in an inpatient internal medicine practice site in San Antonio, Texas.

Faculty rank and salary are negotiable and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate must have a PharmD or other professional pharmacy degree from an accredited college/pharmacy school in the US. The candidate must be licensed as a pharmacist in Texas or be eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. The candidate will be expected to obtain their preceptor license and maintain qualifications to be a pharmacy residency preceptor. The candidate will be expected to develop a clinical practice at University Health, San Antonio, TX. Preference will be given to candidates with a PGY2 in pharmacotherapy, internal medicine, or fellowship in clinical pharmacokinetics.
