The role you’ll contribute:
Avista New Life Center is a bustling unit that cares for families in all phases of labor, delivery, and postpartum. We provide LDRP care to nearly 190 patients per month as well caring for approximately 200 patients per month in our obstetrical triage space. Highly skilled, empathetic staff provide personalized support guiding families through the childbirth experience with expertise and sensitivity. We empower expectant parents, fostering a sense of trust and reassurance. Each team member, from providers to nurses and support staff, is dedicated to delivering not only high-quality medical care but also emotional support, ensuring a positive and memorable birth experience. Avista is a small a community hospital where safety is of paramount importance. This is evident by our staffing of nurses based on AWHONN guidelines, as well as 24/7 in unit coverage with anesthesia, an OB/GYN, surgical technicians, and neonatology. We also provide our patients with lactation support 7 days a week.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
- Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including but not limited to IV’s, incision/ wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
- Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
