The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is seeking for a board-certified Dermatologist to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to contribute to our department’s mission with compassion and expertise. As a key member of the SBYVAMC team, the physician is entrusted with delivering exceptional patient care through both consultative inpatient and outpatient dermatology services. This role involves managing patients with ongoing medical conditions in collaboration with various services throughout SBYVAMC.
Duties can include but are not limited to performing:
Interviews, examines, selects diagnostic testing appropriately, and interprets/collates results to coordinate patient care.
Communicates and documents with clarity to patients and medical personnel to coordinate patient care.
Procedural skills may include simple excision and repair, skin and nail biopsy, electro surgery basic, basic cryosurgery for benign lesions, advanced cryotherapy, curettage.
Consultative input to outpatient and inpatient care.
Participate in the educational programs for the section personnel as well as the medical staff.

Competitive Salary Range: $300,000-$400,000.

Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Dermatology.
