We are seeking a Financial Analyst III to join our growing Financial Services - Physician Compensation team located at 4825 Creekstone Drive, Durham, NC to plan, develop and prepare quantified analysis of key drivers for physician compensation and productivity, as well as, collect, interpret and communicate key findings to leadership audiences through timely, clear, polished and engaging reports.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect, interpret and communicate key findings to leadership audiences through timely, clear, polished, and engaging reports.
Calculate and validate physician compensation changes based on effort changes, promotion, etc.
Assist in preparation of the annual Physician compensation budget across both the School of Medicine (SOM) and the clinical practice (DHIP)
Maintain internal physician compensation database, regularly updating and reconciling based upon approved changes.
Plan, develop and prepare quantified analysis of physician compensation and productivity, including physician compensation benchmarking and incentive accruals.
Independently perform complex and specialized assignments, as well as collaborate with team to meet group shared targets for value-added analytical reports.
Review analyses for accuracy, fluency, and reasonableness; validate and assess assumptions.
Must be a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with excellent written communication skills, dedicated to support of physician enterprise.
Assist in the development, implementation and management of financial systems and multiple tools used for analysis and reporting.
Plan and implement most efficient methods for data retrieval, organization of data for reports, and analysis of results to root cause.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
Work requires a minimum of six years experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.
