This is a PRN position (On-Call - No Benefits) - you will receive an additional 15% PRN pay in lieu of benefits

Position Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Quality and Learning, supports a comprehensive St Joseph?s Regional Medical Center, outpatient services, and clinics quality programs. Responsibilities shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: quality data collection and analysis, researching and gathering information regarding standards, regulations of State, Federal and The Joint Commission (TJC) agencies for Medical Staff and Medical Center personnel and supporting quality performance improvement teams as assigned. The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the Director of Quality and Learning and Leaders to ensure accuracy of data submitted.
Responsibilities shall be discharged in such a manner as to support the goals and objectives of the St Joseph?s Regional Medical Center, outpatient services, and clinics quality performance improvement and in keeping with Mission, Philosophy, and Values of the organization.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
Responsible for the facilitation of electronic core measures submitted to Joint Commission and CMS ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Responsible for the facilitation and submission of the Leapfrog survey and in collaboration with unit leaders and Directors in validating data.
Responsible for generating monthly and quarterly reports related to Quality Measure compliance throughout the facility to multiple departments and data abstraction/analysis for registries (Chest Pain Center)
Responsible for reviewing the records requested by designated vendor for external chart audit validation of submitted quality data, inter rater reliability of abstracted core measures.
Participates in the Patient Safety Clinical Quality/Performance Innovation and Improvement Process by supporting the departmental performance improvement process. Will collaborate with the Patient Safety Coordinator on the performance improvement process.
Serves as the administrator for Policy Stat software program and is responsible for assisting policy owners in timely reviews of their policies.
Assists in the communication of appropriate information from data sources to other departments/committees; thereby coordinating the efforts of various committees, departments, and project teams.
Participates in key quality and/or safety meetings to document minutes, track action items, and appropriate follow-up.

Qualifications
Required:
Associates Degree in Business Management, Public Health, or Medical Assisting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, or other statistical software
Preferred:
Bachelor?s Degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related Healthcare discipline.
Two (2) or more years of data management, data analysis, or quality improvement experience in an acute care or clinical setting.
