Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant, is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients in collaboration of a licensed physician. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
This role will be a PRN position. The shifts will be within 7AM-7PM M-F and SS 8:00-2:30 PM
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Required Education: Master's degree nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Preferred/Optional: Two years nursing experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required
- Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, Physician Assistant.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification awarded by a national certifying body.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
