The role you'll contribute:
Performs duties under the supervision of licensed anesthesia care physicians. Assists the licensed anesthesia physician in the clinical setting. Demonstrates practical knowledge and expertise in all general areas of anesthesia. Maintains and organizes the anesthesia environment, equipment, supplies and personnel to facilitate department functions. Ensures department compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements related to anesthesia care. Oversees and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.

Maintains sufficient inventory of all equipment and supplies.
General understanding and recognition of basic EKG and vital sign changes and reports abnormalities to the physician.
Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of TJC, OSHA and Hazmat guidelines.
Prepares Anesthesia supplies, equipment and invasive lines for each surgical procedure per individual Ensures anesthesia delivery systems are properly functioning before each procedure (e.g. Ultrasound equipment)
Prioritizes needs with other ancillary staff while assisting with room turnovers and patient throughput.
Understands and demonstrates aseptic technique when setting up supplies and sterile field for invasive procedures.
Assists anesthesia physician with patient care, including: patient transport, patient positioning, application of anesthesia monitoring devices.
Prepares properly for various types of intubation: Endotracheal Intubation, Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA), video laryngoscope, fiberoptic scope, and difficult intubation cart.
