Exciting Opportunity: Director, Financial Operations
Ready to lead financial operations at one of the world's foremost healthcare organizations? Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) is seeking a Director, Financial Operations to play a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence, driving financial strategies, and fostering collaboration across teams.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to MSK's mission of delivering groundbreaking care and improving outcomes for patients and communities. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director will manage day-to-day financial operations, spearhead strategic planning, and guide decision-making to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations Leadership:
- Oversee daily financial operations and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Build strong relationships with leadership at all levels, providing valuable insights to influence decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive financial plans aligned with MSK's long-term strategies and market dynamics.
- Lead multiple complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
Financial Management:
- Ensure adherence to MSK's Finance and Accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and direct audits, preparing detailed budgets while ensuring compliance within set parameters.
- Provide strategic oversight for resource allocation to balance financial stewardship and high-quality patient care.
Staff Management & Education:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of engagement and continuous learning.
- Oversee all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orientation, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Serve as a resource to leadership for resolving financial challenges, facilitating required actions, and aligning operations with institutional priorities.
Key Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare financial operations, with proven expertise in managing complex systems and initiatives.
- Understanding of healthcare corporate and/or shared services operations, including budget preparation, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience implementing successful initiatives in a large, complex healthcare organization.

Additional Information:
