Denver Health Medical Center is recruiting for a Family Medicine physician. Our FM physicians staff 9 different clinics across Denver, Colorado. Our care teams provide high quality, patient centered primary care to a diverse urban patient population in an FQHC setting. Our FM clinic sites are eligible for state and federal loan repayment programs.

Job Summary
Offer expert medical care to adults and children. Evaluate, treat, and help prevent illnesses and injuries that occur regularly in the general population. Refer patients to specialists when needed for further diagnosis or treatment. Family Medicine physicians work at various clinics and locations across Denver Health.
Essential Functions:
Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses, including major and complicated, and perform procedures. (65%)
Provide preventative and therapeutic care for patients of all ages. This includes admitting patients, providing preventative care, acute care, prenatal care, injury care, management of chronic illnesses, and performing procedures. (30%)
May provide guidance to staff in providing care for patients in ambulatory or inpatient setting. (5%)
Education:
Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school
Work Experience:
No previous experience
Licenses:
MD or DO - Physician - Colorado State Medical Board License
American Board Family Medicine (ABFM) Certified or Eligible
BLS - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Has adequate knowledge and skill of all privileged procedures as outlined in the Denver Health and Hospital Authority Department of Family Medicine Clinical Privileges documentation.
