Education & Training: Must be licensed by the State of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner as required by law. Recognized by the NBRC as either a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) is highly preferred. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with Pulmonary Function experience will be considered but will need to obtain CPFT or RPFT within 1 year of hire. Certification in BCLS required. Certification in ACLS preferred but not required.

Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of one year PFT testing within the past three years is preferred. The incumbent may require up to one (1) month of orientation or mentorship to gain specific competency to perform the job.
