BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Temporary (Part-Time) Video Monitoring Tech(Overnight shift) for St. Louis Children's Hospital
Position Details:
Temporary – position need until Spring at least with potential for longer time length of assignment
Part-Time (24 hours per week)
Overnight Shift: 7pm-7:30am (Mon-Thurs) with possibility of weekend pick-ups (Fri-Sun)
In-Person Office Position (not virtual or remote position)
Sit at a video review station, monitoring live video and EEG feeds from up to 10 patient rooms.
Move cameras to keep patients in view, monitor for safety concerns (kids climbing out of bed, etc)
Quickly notify nursing staff of any safety concerns and/or seizure activity, notify EEG staff of any technical issues.

Experience:
Previous night shift experience (preferred)
Basic comfort level with technology
Great communication skills, learning agility and ability to work independently
Monitor tech experience (preferred but not required)
Entry level position – great opportunity for someone interested in healthcare to gain valuable experience and exposure.

Role Purpose
Assists with long term monitoring vital to patient care in the observation of patients with cardiac arrhythmia, suspected arrhythmia, drug intervention per floor with need for observation, and potential of life threatening cardiac events. Initiates first response and responders to at risk patients.
Responsibilities
Supports and demonstrates the continuous improvements of quality and service.
Observes, reports, and documents patient?s cardiac rhythm.
Ensures that cardiac monitoring equipment is functioning appropriately.
