Summary:
Skagit Regional Health is seeking experienced Certified Nurse Midwives to join and contribute to the growth of our newly established Midwifery program in Mount Vernon, Washington. Highlights:
Play a part in growing a collaborative practice that currently consists of two (2) experienced CNMs. Our vision is to expand this team to include at least six (6) CNMs.
Our seven (7) employed OBGYN providers, conveniently located adjacent to the Midwifery clinic, are available for support and consultation in clinic.
1:4 call shared equally among the group currently.
Engage in a full-spectrum role, providing care to both OB and GYN patients in the clinic and performing deliveries at Skagit Valley Hospital conveniently situated across from the clinic.
Our Family Birth Center boasts 21 LDRP rooms and 2 ORs on the unit with dedicated Anesthesia support. Additionally, our Level II Special Care Nursery is supported by onsite Pediatric Hospitalist.
Benefit from the assurance of having onsite OB Hospitalists available 24/7 to provide support whenever required.
This is a full time position with a 32 scheduled patient contact hour work expectation.
This is a hospital-employed position with access to a large, existing in house primary and specialty care referral base.
Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a Midwifery program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME). Board certification required.
Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before starting.
2-3 years of recent full scope midwifery experience is required.
Current AHA NRP and Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification is required before starting.
First assist experience is preferred.
