The Bariatric Endoscopy team of experts includes Gastroenterologists board-certified in obesity medicine, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, obesity medicine specialists and dieticians. Together, they support our patients throughout their weight loss journey. ??

As a part of our continued growth, we are searching for a new NP or PA to join our team.??

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant??is responsible for their own patient population under the supervision of an MD, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, and patient care management across the health care continuum. ??

Additional duties and responsibilities:??

• New patient intake and referral coordination. This includes answering questions about the program and procedures, insurance inquires??and scheduling consultations.??

• Managing Bariatric/Endo in-person clinic consultations with our Physician team. This includes rooming new patient consults and gathering patient information (vital signs, height, weight etc.)??

• Care coordination for pre and post Endo/Bariatric patients to include sending pre-op orders, referrals to social work/dietician, ordering and reviewing lab work.??

• Ordering pre- and post-op medications and conducting medication and diet education. Performing dietary counseling and conducting post operative day 1 calls after Endo/Bariatric procedures.??

• Creation of educational materials to give to patients and collaborating with the marketing department to help promote the program.??

• Maintains data collection including inquiries into the program, procedures completed, and insurance authorization requests.??

Qualifications:??

• Current NP or PA license in California??

• DEA License (schedule 2-5).??

• Current ALS/BLS certification??

• One (1) plus years??? experience as an NP or PA??
