About the opportunity:
Lead, inspect, and work with a cleaning crew in order to provide a safe, clean environment for patients. Responsible for keeping Vail Health facilities clean, sanitary, and well-maintained in keeping with federal, state, and local health codes and regulations.
What you will do:
Lead cleaning crew in daily operations, including inspecting quality of Housekeeping staff work to ensure quality levels are met.
Responsible for the appearance and cleaning of the hospital interior. Assist staff with cleaning and servicing units, walls, rooms, baths, lavatories, and offices of Vail Health facilities.
Demonstrate use of cleaning materials and equipment; explain methods of cleaning to ensure the most efficient and economical use of materials and manpower.
Responsible for the use, care, organization, and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and supplies. This includes inspecting housekeeping equipment for proper functioning, making minor repairs or adjustments as needed, and placing supply orders.
Take note of needed facility repairs, compile staff repair reports, and submit work requests.
Complete daily checklist and turn it in to the Housekeeping office.
Attend in-service trainings and meetings, and team with hospital staff for safe and efficient cleaning of Vail Health facilities.
Examples of specific job tasks include: vacuum, clean and mop floors; dust furniture and equipment; replenish soap and paper product supplies; polish floors; and clean doors, windows, vents gaps, and lights.
