The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is excited to announce that we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief of Gynecology to join our esteemed medical team. Duties can include but are not limited to performing:

• Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders such as endometriosis, infertility, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, detection, and reproductive health, and breast exams.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
• The chief position determines all call coverage.

Practice Environment

• Annually, there are 900 unique outpatient encounters, primarily for consultations. The surgery department handles 100 inpatient and outpatient cases each year and reports to the chief of surgery.

• Wake Forest
• 3^rd year OB/GYN resident from wake Forest OBGYN program rotating at all times.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.

Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.

Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty

Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
