About the Role:
Job Summary
The ServiceNow Developer's primary responsibility is to provide technical expertise in platform design, integration, and configuration while maintaining system health. In addition to being responsible for all aspects of the ServiceNow platform lifecycle, the developer ensures user stories, enhancements, and modules are deployed and improved using DevOp methodologies. Designs, builds, analyzes, and assesses workflows, integrations, and platform automations to align with scoping requirements as well as stakeholder project goals.
Configures and assists in the facilitation of planned sprints while sharing knowledge and best practices with ServiceNow Administrators and the Enterprise Platforms team. Develop system integrations for third-party connections to meet the needs of the organization. Work closely with technical, non-technical and vendor contacts to achieve organization goals through automation. This highly visible role will involve a wide range of additional duties including creating and delivering platform demos, daily\weekly\monthly maintenance, upgrades, updates, researching new functionality for use with the platform, resolving tickets, and license management.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications: Proof of Proficiency or Certification, if applicable, to the specific IT application is highly preferred.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Preferred but not required). In lieu of degree, will consider individuals that maintain a ServiceNow CSA or CAD certificate along with 5+ SaaS/PaaS development experience.
Minimum Experience: 5+ years experience working with ServiceNow in a platform role or strong IT background working, designing, and deploying core modules, including ITSM, ITBM, CMDB, and workflow design. 5+ years experience configuring and customizing all aspects of ServiceNow - UI Actions, UI Policy, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Catalog Client Scripts, Catalog UI Policies, Email Scripts, Roles/Groups. Experience with the design and deployment of integration configurations and perform Extract, Transform, and Load functions within the platform and third-party systems. Proficiency with various programming languages used within SaaS/PaaS systems, , including glide records, Java, HTML, Ajax and more. Certified System Administrator required (Certified Application Developer a plus).

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintains stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform.
Manages SDLC of all platform instances; Ensures ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution through defined release cycles.
Designs and tests workflows according to business requirements using QC standards.
Administers user/group access/access control lists.
Oversees and manages update set creation and migration.
Aptitude for scripting with various languages, including HTL, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and support libraries; familiarity with SOAP, APIs, and setup of integrations.
Perform L3 troubleshooting for incidents and requests logged against platform instances.
Collaborates with Business Process Analysts and ServiceNow functional roles to transform requirements into stories, or enhance stories, by providing Best Practice design input on the technical aspects of the implementation.
Coordinate planning with the Enterprise Platforms team, developers, stakeholders, vendors to execute platform enhancements and overall design planning.
Maintain continuing education on ServiceNow capabilities through self-motivated online learning and through official ServiceNow courses provided.
Follow ITIL best practices for overall system maintenance and platform administration.
Work with the process/service owners to define the configuration management process and the necessary policies.
Help scope, design, and implement CMDB according to technical services requirements; provide support to maintain configuration management.
Manage ServiceNow applications (native and scoped), including ITSM, ITBM, and additional modules as needed.
Design advanced workflows and provide guidance to ServiceNow team.
Maintain Standard Work documents for platform development practices.
Carry out playbook for environment maintenance and integrity.
Contribute towards security hardening and hygiene of platform.
Lead system integrations between ServiceNow and required platforms/systems; develop, code, test integration points while working with external support as needed.
