Overview:
40 hrs/wk; Variable hrs to meet the needs of the department. Morning/afternoon and some evening hours. Possible weekend coverage. Responsible for preparing food according to menu for patients, meals on wheels, and cafeteria. Clean and inspect kitchen, equipment and work area. Help direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing meals. Complete and maintain food temperature logs and assist on food ordering. Prior cooking experience in school, nursing home or hospital required. HS/GED.

Our 50-bed acute care hospital is certified for swing beds with an
additional 15 ambulatory outpatient beds. Established in 1972 by
the merger of St. Mary’s Hospital and Behlen Memorial Hospital,
this not-for-profit hospital is governed by a local board of directors.
We are licensed by the Nebraska State Board of Health and
accredited by the Joint Commission.
